Small Group Discussion Questions
1. “Walking Worthy”: Paul urges us to “walk in a manner worthy of the calling.” What practical ways can we demonstrate humility, gentleness, patience, and love in our daily lives? Which of these traits do you find the most challenging, and why?
2. Unity in Diversity: How have you seen different gifts, talents, or callings contribute to the unity of the church or community? What unique gifts do you feel you bring to the body of Christ, and how might God be calling you to use them? (Rom. 12 and 1 Cor. 12)
3. Spiritual Maturity: Paul talks about growing to maturity in our faith (13-15). What does spiritual maturity look like to you? And how can we encourage one another “to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ?” (15)
4. Christ as the Head: How does viewing Christ as the “head” of the body affect the way we relate to one another in the church? How can we become more unified under Christ’s leadership, then under church leadership, and then in our individual lives?
5. Walking Together: To Stay Together, We Need to Live Out Our Unity; To Work Together, We Need to Embrace Our Diversity; To Walk Together, We Need to Grow and Mature in Christ’s Love. What does this look like at Hope Fellowship Church for the next 20 years?
